Spring ? Could it be ?

What a glorious Spring day here in the Midlands - just perfect for being outdoors.
But as I'm still wheezing a bit and recuperating from the bout of dreaded lurgy, a walk in the woods is not quite yet an option.
So the two most-adorable-pups-in-the-world and I contended with some time in the garden this morning instead.

 Me, tending to the cutting garden and just generally tidying things up ;

 and the pups . . .

Ben - eager to play as always . . .

and Jerry, just lazing around enjoying the sunshine !

Things haven't come to a complete stand-still indoors though, and this afternoon I finished off another WIP
- YAY : - )

This Hook Holder is another project from the lovely book Cute & Easy Crochet by Nicki Trench.
I seem to just be working my way through this fab book.
All the patterns are graded from Easy-peasy to Advanced, so I'm enjoying learning new crochet skills as I go along.
That little picot edge was surprisingly easy to do and I love the finish of it.

I'm looking forward to the final of The Great British Sewing Bee this evening and holding thumbs for Lauren to win.  Although I also don't mind if Anne does - she's fab too.
If you're watching it too - enjoy !

'til next time
xoxo

ps. and thanks for all your lovely get-well wishes, I really am feeling loads better : - )

  9. Oh I love your hook holder! It's so pretty! You've just reminded me that I bought some fabric last year to make a knitting needle holder and still haven't done it! My poor needles are still muddled up in a yarn box. A project for the weekend, I think :-)

Hope you're feeling completely better soon!

  13. The crochet hook holder is wonderful, Gilly. :o)

I've really enjoyed the Sewing Bee. I won't give the game away as to who won but I do think she was the best sewer/sewist in the competition. I just hope my daughters don't get the idea of putting me forward for the next one. I'd be useless in front of the cameras!!
